Hello Students,


I am looking forward to discussing more of The Giver this week.

 

Remember:

 

•  1. If you are having difficulty with the reading, use the summaries that I post for each chapter.

• 2. If you are able to read the full chapter, use the reading guide as you are annotating. Underline the answers to questions in your book.

• 3. Today we will discuss possible themes for The Giver. Then, you will want to look for information about those themes as you read.

• 4. Set a goal to participate at least two times during each class discussion about the book.

During the second half of the week we will study some of the features of civilization.


Look for a quiz early next week on The Political Element, The Economic Element and The Features of Civilization. We will review for that quiz on Friday.
