Hello and Happy New Year!

Welcome back to NWS and for some of you, welcome back to The United States. I hope that you all enjoyed seeing friends or family and that you relaxed and enjoyed life. I know that your family and friends were happy to see you, because you are such wonderful individuals!

I spent much of the break at home with my own small family. We played games, read a lot of books and went for walks. Though that may not sound very exciting, it was quite heavenly. I know that my boys are getting older, and soon they won't want to spend so much time with mom and dad, but right now, they love it and so do we.

Today we will go to lecture. This is the quint of Ancient Greece and Rome - good stuff!

I will see you in section to complete some goal setting and start off with a big philosophical question:

Are humans (and are you!) inherently just?
Will humans be good if they have infinite power to do what they want?

Ancient Greece is the heart of western philosophy, and this is a question posed by Plato, one of the great Greek philosophers.

Again, welcome back!

Heather
