Dear International Students,

Thank you for sharing about your lives with me. This is an interesting class with many interests from Chinese zither to surfing!
Your English is strong, but there is a range. If you are at the upper end of the range, you may find that we are moving slowly at first. If you are at the lower end, it may seem too fast. Please let me know if you get too frustrated and I will try to give you extra challenge or extra help.

This week, the focus is to get to know each other and to enjoy the 9th grade trip. It will be exhausting for you to try to use your English to meet students, but keep trying! It will get easier.

We will continue with vocabulary notebooks, and we will begin our first unit on Reading Skills.

I hope that you are feeling settled in and welcome in the school and in the dorm or with your host family or relatives.
